Welcome to The Wedge Neighborhood
Welcome to the dynamic South Minneapolis neighborhood of Lowry Hill East, affectionately known as "The Wedge!" Since the early 1970s, this neighborhood has been represented by the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA) – a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works to make the neighborhood a more progressive, sustainable, attractive, safe, and civically-engaged place to live.
Our mission
The Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association mission is to exhibit and encourage neighborhood leadership and participation from all community members, provide a forum for community participation, and to promote a vision of the neighborhood.

How to get involved
- Attend one of our monthly public board meetings which occur on the third Wednesday of every month. The meeting runs from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and is located at our office at 2744 Lyndale Avenue South. A number of issues touching several neighborhood priorities are addressed at these meetings. Our monthly meetings are also a forum for getting to know people and talking about ways to get further involved.
- Join one of our working groups or committees! This is where the rewarding work happens because our working groups and committees make our neighborhood’s priorities come to life. Committees include: Community Life and Safety, Environmental, Finance, History, Renters, Social, and Zoning & Planning.
- Subscribe to our email list and connect with us on social media! Email [email protected] to be added to our weekly e-newsletter list, and then follow us on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter! Through these mediums, you will receive regular updates about projects, events, and meetings happening in the neighborhood.
