Neighborhood Committees
Committees at LHENA are where neighbors explore what to do together and set out to make it happen. They meet regularly and each is chaired by one or two neighbors, elected annually by their fellow committee members. Most of the ideas and action at LHENA are sparked, developed, and realized at the committee level. If a group of neighbors want to be recognized as a LHENA
committee, they must meet a few requirements: a chairperson, regular meetings with an agenda, and meeting minutes reported back to the board and LHENA staff. In exchange, committees have access to LHENA funds and resources, staff support, promotion, a network of volunteers, and opportunities to communicate directly with public officials and like-minded organizations.
