BUDDIES FOR SAFETY
We are starting a neighborhood buddy system, for safer walkings around. To keep our neighborhood vibrant and active we would like this "buddy" support network to offer neighborly company on a social-distanced dog walk or a trip home from a friend’s house if they are feeling uncomfortable. Interested? Contact Jennifer for more information. We're just beginning to plan it, we are looking for help with that too as well. jenlindner@gmail.com
TRAUMA, RESILIENCE, AND DE-ESCALATION TRAINING
We want to encourage Trauma, Resilience and De-escalation training among Wedge residents as a community good. The more of us that have these abilities, the greater the peace and stability for all. Contact Jennifer for more information. jenlindner@gmail.com
PUBLIC SAFETY IN MPLS – WEBPAGE BUILD
We would like to start an educational webpage about past and present public safety in Minneapolis. If you're not comfortable coming to meetings but would still like to participate in LHENA public safety work, this could be your chance! Connect with Scott at outreach@thewedge.org.
LAWN CONCERT HAPPY HOUR
In search of people to offer up their yard or porch, neighbors to play music, and others to help with the events. Calling all professional, semiprofessional, hobby, and student musicians who want to share your musical talents and host a supply drive for neighbors in need. Dust off your instruments, get the band together. Email Scott if interested, we'll be in touch with details. outreach@thewedge.org
WEDGE WALKERS – NEIGHBORHOOD SAFETY WALKS
We are looking for people to participate in the Wedge Walkers effort (see last week's email) and others to lead walks for neighbors. Email Scott if interested, we'll be in touch. outreach@thewedge.org
