LHENA Talks No.1: Charles Caine of Brothers EMpowered
How can we give hope to youth who feel hopeless? How can opportunity create hope and have a positive effect on the whole community? Charles Caine, the founder and president of Brothers EMpowered, answered these questions and more during our first LHENA Talk and explained what impact he has seen on the youth in Minneapolis through Brothers EMpowered and its Youth Social Enterprise Program.
This LHENA Talk was sponsored by 7 Generation Games, an independent video game studio making immersive educational games and interactive apps aimed at grades 3 through 8, with a mission of breaking down barriers to success, one math problem at a time.
Our talk with Charles focused on youth social enterprise programming and building opportunity through entrepreneurship and social development.

Thank You for Supporting LHENA and Brothers EMpowered
The Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association (LHENA) has partnered with Brothers EMpowered and created a youth grant fund to support their work and bring back that village mentality to Minneapolis. We raised $5,000 through a fundraising campaign. That money helped pay for the Honor Roll Athletics' rent for the summer at the Bread pop-up market. You can learn more about Brothers EMpowered and their Youth Social Enterprise Program here.
All of the money we raised for the talk went toward LHENA's youth grant program to support Brothers EMpowered and their positive and uplifting work in the community.
