LHENA is committed to promoting housing stability for our residents and has partnered with the Conflict Resolution Center to provide free mediation and conflict coaching services for neighborhood residents and landlords. If you are a renter experiencing changes in income and health that affect your ability to pay rent, have a conflict with your neighbors that affects the quality of life in your home, or have repair or maintenance issues mediation or conflict coaching skills may help. If you are a landlord, mediation services can help build rapport between you and tenants, reduces the costs of turnover, and is a less costly alternative to housing court. 84% of housing mediation ends in agreement and 90% of parties report satisfaction with the process. |
Sexual Assault Bystander Intervention – Ready to Act
The #MeToo movement & recent national events have shone a spotlight on sexual harassment and sexual assault like never before. Do you know what to do if you saw someone being harassed, groped, threatened, or disrespected? You have a voice, and you can make a difference! Learn how by attending "Ready to ACT: Strategies for Bystander Intervention," a training facilitated by the Sexual Violence Center, and sponsored by LHENA. This training will prepare you to recognize warning signs, identify your own barriers to bystander intervention, and practice skills that you can use to intervene safely and effectively. You'll also get to connect with neighbors, build community, and learn about resources that are available to folks who've experienced sexual violence.
