LHENA Bake Sale a Huge Hit

Over a hundred people came on Saturday, June 26 to visit the LHENA Bake Sale and enjoy tasty soft tacos and pupusas from Abi’s Restaurant. The rain held out all morning and early afternoon giving everyone time to visit with friends and peruse the bake sale table.  Twenty-five neighborhood bakers contributed over 200 items ranging from pies, to coffee cakes to cookies and brownies. When the rain started at 2 p.m. only a few items remained on the table. The net donations amounted to over $1,700! These funds will go to Friends of Mueller Park, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, and our Food Share. Thank you all for making this such a great summer event.
