We're excited to present to you this year's Wedge-wide Annual Meeting on Wednesday, April 18th at Jefferson Community School! This is our chance to meet new neighbors, reconnect with old ones, chat with your representatives, hear about what we’ve accomplished as a community this past year, develop our organization's leadership, and show ourselves what’s possible when we work together.
Social time is between 5:30-6:30, with free neighborhood food and info on local activity. The meeting will begin at 6:30, where we’ll hear about all that’s been accomplished this past year, learn more about what projects are currently underway, and elect six new LHENA board members.

Please remember to bring proof of residency -- either a government-issued ID or recent utility bill with your Lowry Hill East address listed. Nonresidents who own one or more properties, or own or lease one or more properties used by one or more legal businesses or nonprofits in The Wedge, are also eligible to vote -- proof of property/business ownership will be required. This will grant you a ballot, with which you can vote on new neighborhood leadership. Voter registration for late arrivals will continue until the election begins at 7:30.
Annual Meeting Agenda:
5:30: Registration, social, resource tables
6:30: President's welcome
6:45: Community Workshopping
7:30: Board Elections

8:30: Neighbor/Project of the Year Awards

Pizza and a Pint is normally only once a quarter, but we're putting on a special edition ahead of the upcoming Annual Meeting. Come to LynLake Brewery for free pizza and tasty beer (sorry not free) while you hang out with neighbors! Everyone is welcome, renters, condo or home owners, anyone.
This is also a great way to get involved at a local level. Your neighborhood has a lot of good stuff going on, come eat/drink and learn about:
- How to make things happen in our community around issues of the environment, community life, housing cost and quality, renters rights, and more;
- Serving the community as a LHENA board member;
- Nominating a neighbor of the year or neighborhood project of the year; and
- The April 18th neighborhood-wide Annual Meeting.
And bring a pal or two!

LHENA's Organics Recycling Program, started by our Environmental Committee's own Katlyn Flannery, was featured in the Southwest Journal!
"Flannery, who minored in sustainability studies, joined the Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association Environmental Committee in the months after the election. She said expanding organics access for renters was a good target for an initial project, adding that she wanted to make it more convenient for herself as well."
