Press releases, updates, and history from neighbors in and around the Wedge
Over a hundred kids and their families headed to Mueller Park this past Saturday for fun on a glorious late fall day. It was our 2nd annual Halloween Scavenger Hunt organized by Jen Wilson and her daughter Sachi. Upon arrival at the park, young witches, ghosts and goblins grabbed their maps and zipped around the park to find eight spooky items. After completing the map they came back to a gift bag stuffed full of treats and small toys donated by our sponsors.
Our plaza was also buzzing on Saturday. Snapology located on Lyndale and 27th had an activity table to show us amazing things one can do with Legos. There was also treats and hot cider thanks to LHENA and the neighborhood baking team. Plus we sampled egg burritos from a new neighborhood food concept, The Rolling Egg, owned by Liz Carpenter. Many thanks to the local businesses who helped sponsor the treat bags: Another big thank you to the local businesses who sponsored this event and contributed to goodie bags for kiddos: TrueGrit Society, Café Meow, Lake & Bryant Café, On-Site Public Media, Lyn-Lake Chiropractic, Fit1st Running, and Snapology.
