LHENA News
Press releases, updates, and history from neighbors in and around the Wedge
From Jennifer Lindner, one of the chairs of LHENA's Public Safety and Racial Justice Subcommittee:
"For many of us, the impulse is to stay indoors and hope things get better, but remember: a safe neighborhood is a vibrant neighborhood. The best way we — as residents — can fight crime is to be visible. We encourage you to take lunch and snack breaks outside on porches and balconies or have safe, masked lawn picnics. "And taking inspiration from Covid music sharing around the world, we’d like to launch a Lawn Concert series . Calling on all hobby musicians (and professionals too): dust off your instruments and take them outside. Come on loves, give us a show :-) Let's enjoy our warm weather, safely socialize, and increase our peace all at once. If you've got supplies to donate, we'll collect them too and see they get to folks who need them. "We're looking for a neighborhood volunteer to help us organize this fandango. Once we've got the ball rolling, we'll start announcing Lawn Concert dates. Watch for flyers! Please contact Scott ([email protected]) or Jennifer ([email protected]) if you can help out."
