Hi, and thanks for the opportunity to comment. I'm concerned about the ever-increasing density of my neighborhood, as well as the already-scarce parking in this entire area and especially at the Piggy Bank location. With the planned number of units exceeding the planned number of parking stalls, this problem will be further exacerbated. Furthermore, any units occupied by more than 1 person will likely come with dwellers who bring more than 1 vehicle, meaning that in order to accommodate the dwellers, the parking capacity in stalls really ought to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.5 times the number of dwelling units. I hope this can be amended. Thank you.

While I agree that this location for a restaurant has not really worked, I am opposed to such a large building this close to Hennepin and the transit center. It will also impact pedestrian flow and pedestrian friendliness on this portion of a very busy street. Many residents spent 2 years creating a future 'small area and business plan' that is totally being ignored. The original plans call for no more than 3 stories with set backs on the upper floors. And this looks to be more luxury apartments (none affordable) and no significant parking. Even if there is underground parking, the number of units with vehicles will significantly impact the traffic flow on an already congested part of Hennepin with the bus terminal right next door. This plan needs to be completely reviewed and reworked to better fit and not contribute to the extreme density that is confounding what used to be known as Uptown.

Can we stop with these over priced developments that sit half vacant because no one can afford them? Let alone live next to the transit station where there are a lot unhomed individuals that need help? Build something for them. No one needs another 5 story condo building with "affordable retail space on street level" building. Get out of here. Stop building these structures that are RUINING the charm of the neighborhood. You won't be able to sell your $2500/mo unit. What's the listing going to say? "Charming 1 bedroom with 0 character in a neighborhood that has overpriced every surrounding buisness out. Beautiful view of people in need, asking for change as you walk out your front door. 0 green space, and 0 parking! Close to nothing because no one lives here!" Get out of uptown and stay out.
